Caren Dissinger has a sensitive eye for capturing the character of a person and the distinct nature of a place with her camera. Growing up in Colombia, South America provided her with sympathetic insight into people and the natural world.

As a student, she moved to Berlin, Germany to study photography at the Lette Verein. She then worked as a darkroom technician and studio photographer while living in Italy. Caren moved to the United States and worked in the fashion industry on Miami Beach in the 1990’s. She later traveled throughout the Caribbean, Latin America and the Southern United States photographing an extensive location library for use by film and tourism industries.

In 2000 she moved to historic Pennsylvania where she shoots on location and in her studio.

Caren's work has been published in The New York Times, Casa Vogue, The Washington Post, Max, Metropolitan Home, Interior Design and other international publications. Her client list has included: Otto, Spiegel, Coca-Cola, Island Records, Cine Film Puerto Rico, Bahamas Tourism Board, ACT Productions, David D’Imperio Lighting, Wendy Stevens Handbags, Sorrelli Jewelry.
